Job summary

Shahi, Bangalore-based, is seeking a Development Lead AI Projects & ERP to bridge technology and business. You will lead development teams, own internal ERP systems, and drive AI/ML-enabled projects in a techno-functional role.

You will collaborate with stakeholders across Marketing, Finance, Operations, Inventory and Procurement, mentor engineers, evaluate AI tools, and ensure delivery timelines while aligning solutions with business goals.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years in software development with leadership experience.

Development Lead AI Projects & ERP

About the Role

We are looking for a Development Lead who bridges technology and business. Someone who can lead development teams, has hands-on exposure to AI/ML-driven projects, owns internal ERP systems, and brings strong functional/business domain knowledge, ideally shaped by a consulting background. This is a techno-functional leadership role, not a pure coding position.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of development projects, including AI/ML-integrated solutions, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
• Understand the technical and functional requirements of business processes and design HLD to enable the technical team to design and develop projects.
• Own and manage the organization's internal ERP system - configuration, customization, upgrades, integrations, and user support.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions by working closely with stakeholders across functions (Marketing, Finance, Operations, Inventory and Procurement, etc.)
• Guide and mentor a team of developers/engineers, setting technical direction and ensuring code quality and delivery timelines.
• Evaluate and recommend AI/ML tools, frameworks, and use cases relevant to business problems (not necessarily building models from scratch, but understanding feasibility, integration, and ROI)
• Drive process improvements by identifying automation opportunities within ERP and other internal systems.
• Act as a bridge between technical teams and business/consulting stakeholders, ensuring solutions align with business objectives.
• Conduct first-level functional testing of developed products
• Conduct and facilitate UAT to gather user feedback and decide the product backlog.
• Manage vendor relationships for third-party tools, ERP modules, or AI platforms as needed.
• Prepare and present technical and functional documentation, project status reports, and roadmaps to leadership.

Required Skills & Experience

• 7-10 years of overall experience in software development, with at least 23 years in a lead/managerial capacity.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML project lifecycles data pipelines, model integration, deployment considerations, and practical business applications (prior consulting or client-facing AI project experience preferred).
• Hands-on experience managing or implementing ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar) configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
• Solid grasp of business functional processes (finance, supply chain, HR, or operations specify based on your industry)
• Prior experience in a consulting environment (IT consulting, management consulting, or systems integration) is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages/frameworks [customize: Python, Java, .NET, etc.]
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is a plus.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; comfortable presenting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

• Certifications in ERP platforms (SAP certification, Microsoft Dynamics certification, etc.)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Prior experience in a Big 4 or top-tier IT consulting firm
• Understanding of data governance and AI ethics/compliance basics

Education

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. MBA is a plus.
