Husky Technologies seeks a Designer, Development - Mechanical Tooling in Chennai (Guindy) to drive concept design and detailed modeling of tooling and automated machinery. You will translate product definitions into robust designs, ensuring manufacturability and quality while meeting project timelines.

You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers, lead design reviews, contribute to DFMEA and validation plans, and help advance our product development and release processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent work experience.
• Strong CAD skills with ability to model and detail complex tooling.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T principles.

Responsabilités

• Convert Product Definition into design concept with minimal guidance.
• Complete design execution applying design standards.
• Complete part modeling and drafting; assemblies, BOMs, release to BAAN.
• System level design with limited guidance applying design standards.
• Contribute to design reviews.

Job Description

Work within a team of multi discipline Engineers/Design Specialists in the development of new products. This includes all steps within a formal product development process and focusing on conceptual design and design discipline while delivering high quality, high performance, reliable and cost-effective designs on time.

• Experience designing and building tooling and machinery with a focus on manufacturability is an asset
• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and tolerance stack up analysis experience is an advantage
• Hands on – ability to complete basic mechanical assembly tasks

Qualifications

Education
Post-secondary education (Bachelor’s in engineering preferred) or equivalent work experience.
