Job summary

Equans Axima is seeking a seasoned Refrigeration Design Engineer to lead turnkey projects in the commercial and industrial HVAC sector. You will design chilled water and DX systems, select equipment, and ensure compliance with AHRI/ASME standards.

You will work with naval design codes, perform water-flow and pipe-sizing calculations, and develop technical documentation, BOMs, and interlock diagrams. Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.

Qualifications

• BE/BTech Mechanical/Refrigeration/Electrical with AC & R elective.
• Experience in refrigeration system design and related standards.
• Familiarity with P&ID, water flow balancing, pipe sizing, and interlocking diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Design Turnkey Refrigeration systems in coordination with other HVAC services.
• To optimize and realize the design documentations.
• Calculations using applicable standards for Scope of work.
• Water Flow diagrams with instrumentation.
• Selection of correct equipment and sizing.
• Pressure Drop Calculation.
• Quantification (Preparation of Bill of materials).
• Preparation of technical compliance documents.

Industry : Any commercial and Industrial Refrigeration & HVAC (Marine / offshore preferred)

Qualifications : BE/B Tech Mechanical/Refrigeration/Electrical with AC &R elective

Technical Skills

• Refrigeration System Design (Chilled Water and DX System)
• Ref Plant and Cold room design
• Equipment selection, preparation & understanding P&ID
• Rfrigration standards (AHRI / ASME, etc)
• Calculations like water flow balancing calculations, Pipe sizing and Pipe and accessories
• Knowhow of different MOC and refrigerants used
• Pressure Drop calculations
• Electrical & Control Systems
• Preparation & understanding of interlocking diagrams (Control Logic philosophy)
• Naval Design Codes & standards,
• Handson experience on using Latest Ref Design Softwares, Autocad, Revit, Office 365 etc
