Position Summary

Design Engineering Manager – Piping. Supports the Discipline Manager on projects, leading a multi‑discipline team in life sciences piping design.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, champion inclusion and diversity, and drive global delivery.
• Manage professional employees and/or supervisors, overseeing performance appraisals, pay reviews, training and development.
• Design, review, and approve piping designs for pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life‑science facilities, ensuring compliance with GMP, regulatory standards, and client expectations.
• Maintain design consistency across projects by standardizing templates, specifications, and workflows.
• Participate in design workshops, HAZOPs, risk assessments, constructability studies, and support construction, commissioning, and start‑up activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact for piping design matters with clients, PMCs, and EPC/EPCM partners.

Qualifications

• 17–20 years of experience in piping design for pharmaceutical, life science, or biotech facilities.
