Job summary

STED archbuild is seeking an experienced Design Manager in Mumbai to lead interior design concepts, space planning, layouts, and working drawings for commercial projects. The role requires hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and related design software, with the ability to coordinate with project execution teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in commercial interiors or interior fit-out projects.
• Strong hands-on proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp; knowledge of other design software is preferred.
• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related technical qualification.

• Develop interior design concepts, space plans, furniture layouts, and detailed working drawings for commercial interior projects.
• Prepare and review floor plans, ceiling layouts, partition drawings, furniture layouts, and construction details.
• Ensure accuracy of drawings, measurements, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with Projects, MEP, 3D Studio, and Procurement teams for design integration and execution requirements.
• Conduct site visits, verify measurements, and resolve design-related issues during execution.
• Manage and guide interior designers and draftsmen to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients to understand requirements and incorporate approved design changes.
• Maintain drawing standards, revision control, and adherence to project timelines.
