Job summary

BT Group in Bengaluru is seeking a Design Engineer Professional with strong Java backend and Spring Boot experience to design, develop, test, and deploy scalable enterprise applications.

You will work with cross-functional teams, contribute to frontend integration with React/Angular, and participate in modern engineering practices, CI/CD, and cloud environments. This role emphasizes secure, high-performance software in a production-ready stack.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in Java (8+).
• Expertise in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data JPA.
• Solid understanding of Microservices Architecture.
• Strong foundation in Data Structures & Algorithms.
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Working knowledge of React or Angular (UI integration, API binding).
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL) and SQL.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
• Experience in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, etc.).
• Understanding of Docker/Kubernetes basics.
• Experience in JUnit/Mockito or similar testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodology.

Responsibilities

• Build RESTful APIs and integrate with internal/external systems.

About the role

We are looking for a strong Java Backend Developer with hands‑on experience in building scalable enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot. The role requires backend depth with working knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Angular, along with exposure to CI/CD pipelines, cloud environments, and modern engineering practices.
