Job summary

Fluor Corporation in India is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to lead design and analysis of complex structures. The role covers wind and seismic loading, foundation design, and coordination with procurement and construction teams.

You will oversee a small team on FEED and detail engineering projects, ensure code compliance across US and European standards, and mentor junior engineers while delivering safe, constructible solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in structural engineering or global equivalent.
• 8–15 years of relevant work experience with strong communication skills.
• Authorized to work in the country where the position is located.

Job Description:

• Four (4) year degree in Structural Engineering or global equivalent in engineering field of study and with eight (8) to fifteen (15) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required.
• Ability to communicate effectively that includes but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
• Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.

Basic Job Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes and standards for US and European regions, commercial availability, and cost of materials
• Advanced knowledge of performing hand and computer calculations for foundations, concrete, and steel structures (structural)
• Analyzing complex structures
• Wind and seismic loading in structural calculations (structural)
• Computer modeling and analysis (structural)
• Procurement and construction aspects of engineering
• Vendor drawing review, intergroup review – squad checking
• Checking design calculations and Drawings
• Connections designs and fabricator drawing checking
• Practical field experience and Intermediate computer and software skills
• Knowledge of working in Prefeed, FEED & Detail Engineering projects
• Managing and leading a small team/ Area lead on a bigger project
• Knowledge of Dynamic analysis and design (structural) will be an added advantage
