Caterpillar Inc. in India is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design, validate, and implement Ground Engaging Tool (GET) systems for Wheel Loaders and Underground Mining loaders.
You will deliver durable, cost‑effective solutions that improve wear life and machine productivity. Required: bachelor’s in mechanical engineering, 5+ years in design and development, and experience with wear components; preferred: mining or construction equipment.

Designs, develops, validates, and implements Ground Engaging Tool (GET) systems for Wheel Loaders and Underground Mining (UGM) Loaders. Responsible for delivering innovative, durable, and cost-effective solutions that enhance machine productivity, wear life, reliability, and customer value. Applies engineering expertise to convert application requirements into robust product designs while balancing performance, manufacturability, and cost.
Knowledge of analytical techniques, engineering tools, simulation methods, and AI-assisted technologies that promote effective problem solving; ability to identify root causes of design and performance issues and develop multiple solutions that optimize customer value, durability, manufacturability, and cost.
Knowledge of mining applications, Ground Engaging Tool (GET) systems, wear technologies, and engineering methodologies; ability to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges while improving customer value, product performance, durability, and cost competitiveness.
Knowledge of engineering tools (Creo, Teamcenter, ANSYS, DEM, Wear Simulation) and techniques of parametric design, simulation, and knowledge-based engineering; ability to design, analyze, simulate, validate, and optimize Ground Engaging Tool (GET) systems throughout the product development lifecycle.
Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production.
This position requires working onsite five days a week.Relocation is available for this position.Visa Sponsorship is not available for this position.
