Job description

Responsibilities

• Develop detail design of machine parts and assemblies material selection (steel structures, raw materials), bought-out parts (Bearings, Sealings, etc.), tolerances, different connector elements (bolts, pins), determine welded joints and weld preparation.
• Develop detail 3D design of various heavy-duty machine models, Production ready 2D Drawings.
• Design support to the development and production teams.
• Good understanding of change management system.
• Monitor change requests, execute changes, and document them in a change log.
• Provide inputs to improve existing processes in the Design department.
• Responsible for quality of deliverables

Profile Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in mechanical engineering or comparable qualification.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
• Proficiency with engineering design software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, Autodesk Revit and Rhino.
• Software certification is advantageous.
• Sound knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
• Strong foundation in Engineering Design and Drawing, Strength of Materials, Design of Machine elements, GD&T
• Previous experience of working in an agile environment will be a plus (JIRA, KANBAN).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Can take individual responsibility of his/her projects, and at the same time must be a good team player.
• Attentive to details and can think critically.
• High degree of initiative and good presentation skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
• Must be familiar and well versed with all MS Office applications such as MS Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel etc.
