The Design Associate / Design Executive will create customer-centric interior design solutions from concept to execution readiness, collaborating with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functionality, aesthetics and Bonito's quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in residential interior design; fresh graduates welcome.
• Strong understanding of residential interiors, space planning, materials and furniture design.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to understand lifestyle, requirements and budget.
• Develop personalized design concepts balancing aesthetics and practicality.
• Create 2D/3D presentations and technical drawings (space plans, elevations).
• Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and site teams to ensure execution readiness.
• Support design revisions and ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
• Maintain regular client communication and deliver an exceptional design experience.

About the Role

The Design Associate / Design Executive (DA/DE) will be responsible for creating customer-centric interior design solutions while supporting the end-to-end design journey—from concept development to execution readiness. The role requires creativity, technical proficiency, and strong customer interaction skills to deliver functional, aesthetically appealing, and execution-ready designs.

The ideal candidate will work closely with customers and cross-functional teams to ensure every design aligns with customer expectations, project feasibility, and Bonito's quality standards.

Your Key Responsibilities

Customer Consultation & Design Development

• Understand customer lifestyle, functional requirements, design preferences, and budget expectations.
• Develop personalized design concepts that balance aesthetics, functionality, and practicality.
• Present design ideas, layouts, and visual concepts to customers.
• Recommend materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and dcor solutions that enhance the overall customer experience.

Space Planning & Technical Design

• Prepare space plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, and detailed working drawings.
• Develop 2D and 3D design presentations using industry-standard software.
• Ensure designs are technically accurate, execution-ready, and compliant with company standards.
• Coordinate design revisions based on customer feedback while maintaining project timelines.

Design Coordination

• Collaborate with Project Managers, Procurement, Site Execution teams, and vendors to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Participate in site visits when required to validate design feasibility and execution quality.
• Support seamless handover of approved designs for execution.

Customer Experience

• Build strong relationships with customers throughout the design journey.
• Ensure timely communication and regular project updates.
• Address customer queries and design-related concerns professionally.
• Deliver an exceptional design experience that contributes to high customer satisfaction and referrals.

Performance & Metrics

• Track and improve key performance indicators including:
• Design Approval Timelines
• Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
• Design Accuracy
• First-Time-Right Design Outputs
• Design-to-Execution Handover Timelines
• Ensure adherence to project schedules and quality benchmarks.

Continuous Improvement

• Stay updated on interior design trends, materials, finishes, furniture systems, and emerging technologies.
• Participate in internal design reviews and learning initiatives.
• Contribute innovative ideas to enhance design quality, customer experience, and operational efficiency.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Sales, Design, Procurement, Project Management, and Execution teams.
• Ensure effective communication across stakeholders to deliver projects successfully.
• Support process improvements that enhance design efficiency and project outcomes.

Experience & Education

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in residential interior design.
• Fresh graduates with excellent design portfolios are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of residential interiors, space planning, materials, and furniture design.
