Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking a seasoned Safety professional for our plant in Maharashtra. The role involves leading safety initiatives, conducting detailed job safety studies, and coordinating safety audits and training to prevent injuries and incidents.

The incumbent will carry out accident investigations, implement corrective actions, and ensure compliance with statutory safety requirements. Interaction with government agencies and safety committees will be part of daily

Qualifications

• Diploma/B. Tech in Mech/Auto/Elect. or any Post Graduation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plant safety inspections and accident investigations with corrective actions.
• Advise on safety measures in all job studies and perform detailed job safety studies for selected jobs.
• Organize safety training programmes and fire safety training.
• Promote and support safety committees, act as advisor and convener.
• Implement permit-to-work system and coordinate with Government Agencies for statutory requirements.

To promote and maintain safe work environment, prevention of occupational health deceases, personal injuries and property damages and suggest the suitable modifications in the work environment / equipment / process to avoid the incidents/ potential hazards
à To develop safe work culture in the plant by identifying and eliminating the unsafe conditions and unsafe work practices.
à To advise the concerned departments in planning and organizing measures necessary for the effective control of personal injuries.
à To advise on safety aspects in all job studies, and to carry out detailed job safety studies of selected jobs.
à To check and evaluate the effectiveness of the action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries
à To carry out plant safety inspection
à To carry out accident investigations and corrective and preventive actions of occupational diseases
à To promote setting up safety committees and act as an advisor and convener to such committees
à To organize safety training programmes
à To organize fire safety training programmes
à To organize internal and external safety audits in the factory to eliminate unsafe work practices and ensure safe work environment.
à To organize safety promotional activities
à To implement the permit to work system
à Interaction with Government Agencies to complete the Statutory Requirements

Experience

7-10 years of experience in Safety function

Qualifications

Diploma/B. Tech. Â Mech./Auto/Elect. Or Any Post Graduation.
