Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions in India seeks a Deputy Manager - Projects to lead CAPEX and plant-modification initiatives, including proposal development, cost estimation, and coordination across engineering and operations. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience managing CAPEX and site modification projects.
• Experience preparing URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ and related technical submissions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals, cost estimation, and RFPs for CAPEX projects.
• Coordinate with user for concept finalization and basic engineering.
• Maintain site drawings and engineering layouts for multiple units.
• Prepare P&IDs, layouts, and equipment datasheets.
• Develop BOQs and equipment specifications for procurement.
• Review drawings, vendor documents, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate with production, QA, QC, EHS, and maintenance for project execution.
• Track PR/PO, GRN, and invoice validation; capitalize project costs.
• Support qualification activities (URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT, SAT) for equipment and systems.
• Manage change control processes and QA-compliant documentation.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of projects.

Deputy Manager - Projects Job Description

• Responsible for proposals & documentation, executing, and completing CAPEX, plant modification, and expansion projects, including project estimation, engineering design, procurement support, qualification, commissioning, and statutory compliance. Prepare cost estimation for new CapEx proposal and Request for proposals (RFP).
• Preparation and coordination with user for Concept finalization and basic engineering.
• Responsible for Site Drawings and maintain all engineering drawings, layouts for Unit-I&II.
• Responsible to prepare P&IDs, conceptual layouts, equipment layouts, and utility layouts based on URS and process requirements.
• Prepare BOQs, technical specifications and equipment datasheets for procurement activities.
• Review and approve engineering drawings, vendor documents, GA drawings, and technical submissions.
• Coordinate and monitoring with Production, QA, QC, EHS, Engineering Maintenance, Procurement, and external consultants for successful project implementation.
• Responsible for PR/PO generation, GRN tracking, invoice verification and capitalization.
• Prepare and execute qualification documents including URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ, FAT, and SAT for process equipment, utility systems, HVAC systems, and water systems in compliance with GMP requirements.
• Follow up with vendors for qualification documents, manuals, certificates, validation support, and statutory compliance documents.
• Handle Change Control activities through TrackWise and ensure implementation of approved modifications as per quality systems.
• Prepare and maintain project-related SOPs and QMS documentation in compliance with QA requirements.
• Support for statutory approvals from Panchayat, Inspector of Factories, Fire Department, Pollution Control Board, and other regulatory authorities related to drawing
• Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning, qualification and handover of completed projects to user and maintenance departments.
• Supervise contractors, vendors, and site execution activities while ensuring compliance with safety standards and project specifications.
• Execute plant modification projects, capacity expansion projects.
