Job summary

Mahindra and Mahindra Limited is seeking an experienced engineer to support the PTCED line production and paint shop operations in our automotive facility in Maharashtra. You will ensure PTCED output, address paint/ED defects, coordinate with internal and external customers, and drive cost-effective improvements on the line.

The role requires hands-on experience with PTCED line and paint shop equipment such as spray guns, pumps, blowers and burners, plus a solid grounding in TPM and quality

Qualifications

  • B.Tech degree in engineering.
  • 3-6 years experience in automobile manufacturing.
  • Hands-on experience with PTCED line and paint shop equipment.
  • Knowledge of TPM and quality tools.
  • Ability to coordinate with internal and external customers.
  • Safety-conscious with problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure PTCED output and its production activities.
  • Control CED/Paint defects due to Process.
  • Perform lab testing required for PTCED.
  • Coordinate and support customers (internal and external).
  • Monitor absenteeism and plan line staffing.
  • Find cost-effective consumable solutions via I4 ideas/Kaizens.
  • Create a safe, engaged working environment.
  • Maintain equipment safety by monitoring interlocks.
  • Hands-on handling of PTCED line and paint shop equipment.
  • Understand ED/Paint defects and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and supplier processes.
  • Knowledge of TPM and quality tools.
  • Follow industry best practices.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • To ensure PTCED output and its production related activities.
  • To Control CED/Paint defects due to Process.
  • To perform the various lab testing required for PTCED.
  • To Coordinate and provide supporting hand to customers (Internal and External)
  • To Monitor and control absenteeism on line by planning of cell members leave.
  • To find cost effective solution for the consumable Items by monitoring, suggesting, implementing I4 ideas/Kaizens.
  • To create a conducive environment for safe and engaged working.
  • To maintain safety of equipmentÂs by monitoring safety interlocks.
  • Hands on experience of handling PTCED line, Knowledge of Paint shop equipmentÂs like spray guns, pumps, blowers, burners.
  • Understanding of ED/Paint defects and trouble shooting.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing process and Supplier processes
  • Knowledge of TPM
  • Knowledge of Quality tools and systems
  • Knowledge of Best practices in Industry
