As Technology Leader, the manager is expected to continuously watch/ learn from best in class from the Industry around Development tools space. Keep a technology watch on new age companies to find best tools, platform and practices that would make sense to bring to applications.
In Product Management role, the manager is expected to guide the team members to think product at the hands of customer and prepare relevant metrics to define Data Driven development approach for product/function. It also requires close coordination with Global Product Owners/Product Management team and other stakeholders to ensure successful adoption of the product.
In Program Management role, the manager has to bring in agile practices at scale (say SAFe) to define right program increments, synchronization and cadence to ensure best in class software delivered to product. Manager has to be an agile coach himself and mentor the team on right practices.
People development: As quote goes "you take care of employees and they will take care of your business", the fundamental element of business is people. As manager, it is expected to ensure continuously work on development of people in terms of technical training, new practices of software development, team building, working in international context. You anchor culture in the team and that cascades to interfaces and larger team that you collaborate with. You are encouraged to provide continuous feedback and coaching the team (just not during appraisal cycles).
Finally, spare sometime to ensure adherence and work on operational topics that are relevant to organizational context.
Work on Requirements Engineering Product vision, roadmap and goals based on larger organization/departments (relevant Business partners from Germany)
Design, Build, Operate next generation IT solutions for Requirements Management (Systems, Component, SW/HW), Architecture concepts with traceability across development life-cycle
Build & Operate Infrastructure & pipeline for development of customization features across the product of Doors NG, Rhapsody, PREEVision
Maintaining high availability and optimal performance of cloud platforms and products across the EE development lifecycle
Implementing robust monitoring systems to detect issues, and developing incident response plans to address and resolve incidents quickly
Working closely with development, operations, and other teams to ensure reliability is built into every stage of the product lifecycle
Defining Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and Service Level Objectives (SLOs) to measure and track reliability
Work on Data solutions with process mining across the products/tools used for the MDS lifecycle
People Development in strong technical acumen - Coaching and mentoring skills
