Job summary

Johnson & Johnson, located in Mumbai, seeks a skilled Supply Chain Planning professional to oversee Depuy Synthes planning processes. You will develop and execute Demand, Inventory and Supply Planning to meet sales and service objectives and drive new product launches in Orthopedics.

You will collaborate with global planning teams, sales, marketing and operations to optimize the supply chain, drive IBP reviews, and improve KPIs while ensuring SOX and regulatory compliance across imports,

Qualifications

• Forecasting and demand planning with IBP exposure.
• Knowledge of KPIs: Inventory turns, DOS, OTIF, MAPE, Back Order, ESO.
• Strong analytical skills with Excel/Power Apps and effective communication.
• Results-driven with project management experience across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead IBP meetings with Sales, Marketing and Finance to review forecasts and inventory targets.
• Collaborate with global demand planning to create forecasts and inventory targets.
• Continuously assess supply chain processes and drive efficiency through analytics.
• Own and improve key supply chain KPIs (Forecast accuracy, Inventory value, DOS, OTIF, etc.).
• Coordinate asset utilization and CAPEX optimization with asset turns in mind.
• Prepare basic MIS and develop advanced MIS for data-driven decisions for sales teams.
• Work with imports, warehouses, and freight forwarders to ensure timely inventory and regulatory compliance.

Job Description:

Position Summary

A highly critical and visible supply chain role that will oversee the Depuy Synthes Supply Chain Planning processes. This is a hands-on position responsible for developing and executing Demand, Inventory and Supply Planning that will enable the franchise to meet sales and service objectives. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, sales, marketing, operations and customer support teams is paramount to achieve these sales and service objectives and oversee launch of new product portfolio in the Orthopedic space.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive IBP meetings with Sales and Marketing and Finance reviewing recommended sales forecasts and inventory goals (emphasis on brand transitions, new product introduction, tenders and other market intelligence). Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends. Drive supply and inventory plans aligned with franchise Business plans to achieve the targets.
• Establish and utilize best methods (statistical models and software tools) in creating forecasts and respective inventory targets by collaborating with global demand planning teams
• Continuously assess the supply chain and business process. Identify areas which can be done more efficiently by innovation & analytics.
• Ownership & improvement of key SC KPIs – Forecast accuracy, Inventory Value & DOS, OTIF, Back Orders, ESO etc.
• Track and drive asset utilization identifying opportunities for rebalancing of capex sets and also driving forecast corrections in sync with the asset turns
• Work with the extended support team in preparing basic MIS, communicating the MIS to the sales teams on a daily/ weekly basis. Develop advanced MIS for the franchise to enable them make data driven decisions
• Work closely with imports, warehouses, and freight forwarders to ensure timely inventory availability. Understand regulatory export requirements and processes required to meet them. Ensure that processes are SOX and Regulatory compliant and meet audit requirements.
• Drive Forecast reviews with sales & marketing to arrive at IBP volumes and values in sync with demand trend

Qualifications

Education : B. Tech, MBA

Required Years of Related Experience: 2 to 4 Years

Preferred Related Industry Experience (if applicable): Preferably but not limited to Health Care industry/Pharma

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (Uncompromised requirements for the role):

• Experience in forecasting and demand planning. Subject Understanding of collaborative forecasting methods, IBP process.
• Knowledge of key performance metrics- Inventory turns, margin contributions, DOS, OTIF, MAPE, Back Order, ESO etc.
• Good understanding of analytical tools (Excel, PowerApps, etc.) and effective communication skills. Ability to identify critical gaps and raise issues to the upstream global planning teams
• Results and performance driven
• Project Management involving cross functional teams

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

• Knowledge of key performance metrics- Inventory turns, margin contributions, DOS, OTIF, MAPE, Back Order, ESO, SLOB etc.
• Experience in forecasting and demand planning. Subject Understanding of collaborative forecasting methods, S&OP process. Good understanding of analytical tools (Excel, Power Apps, etc.) and effective communication skills.
• Experience in Demand planning. Strong understanding of APO / MRP concepts. Full understanding of the components of Safety Stock and can use math to calculate demand variability component of Safety Stock. Understands how shifts in demand forecast and sales vs. forecast impact the supply plans
