Hitachi ABB Power Grids in India seeks a seasoned General Accounting leader who will guide a team to ensure complete, accurate, and timely accounting close, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
You will drive month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, financial statements, and reporting, with a focus on process improvements and adherence to Hitachi Energy's values.
Lead a team focused on the complete, accurate, and timely completion of accounting activities within the General Accounting (GA) team. Ensure compliance with internal guidelines and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
Defines operating guidelines and project tasks to ensure delivery of services to assigned business partners in accordance with service level agreements.
Oversees the month end close process for the accounting center including account reconciliation, preparation of various journal entries, and preparation of monthly balance sheet.
Books monthly entries as necessary based on supporting documentation.
Ensures timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual reporting of reporting package and associated disclosures.
Oversees preparation of financial statements in the appropriate format for inclusion in timely filings with regulatory agencies. Ensures transparency in financial reporting and disclosures.
Leads Internal Control over Financial Reporting compliance and reporting for the General Accounting team.
Performs analysis of accounts and highlights discrepancies/anomalies for correction. Serves as escalation point for complex accounting transactions. Leads enforcement and implementation of internal accounting and reporting guidelines and compliance with external accounting regulations.
Assists with guideline interpretation for internal partner groups. Develops and implements processes and procedures, and continuously optimizes to gain efficiency and drive productivity gains.
Supports preparation of company tax return and related tax processes.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Qualified CA, ICWA, or an equivalent professional certification.
Possess 12–15 years of relevant work experience in the respective domain.
