Job summary

Dentsu in Pune is seeking a Delivery Manager in Experience Design to lead delivery for global clients. You will manage design engineering teams, coordinate capacity planning, and support hiring and onboarding to meet demand. The role focuses on optimizing utilization, governance and timely delivery across markets.

It involves working with XEN labs and global leads to ensure customer outcomes and efficient resource management in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in design delivery management or a similar leadership role.
• Experience managing distributed design teams across geographies.
• Strong knowledge of capacity planning, utilization and bench management.
• Experience with presales, proposals, estimation and project planning for Experience Design projects.

Responsibilities

• Design Delivery Management for global clients/markets and own delivery for Design Engineering teams.
• Coordinate resource allocation, capacity planning, availability and bench tracking.
• Support hiring, onboarding and deployment based on demand.
• Monitor governance on projects and proactively identify risks.
• Drive initiatives to improve utilization, productivity and delivery efficiency.

Delivery Manager – Experience Design (Location: Pune)

Key Responsibilities

• Design Delivery Management – Global Clients/Markets
• Own and support Delivery Management for Design Engineering teams serving global clients and Market stakeholders
• Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, availability, and bench tracking across Experience Design teams
• Support hiring, onboarding, and deployment of resources based on current and anticipated business demand
• Partner with Capabilities Leads and Client/Global Leads on resource planning and allocation management
• Maintain accurate internal tracking of resource allocation, availability, utilization, and project assignments
• Monitor and drive timesheet compliance and related operational processes
• Conduct weekly discussions with Resource Management teams and Market Leads
• Manage governance on projects and pipeline to proactively identify resource, capacity, or delivery risks
• Identify and support initiatives to improve utilization, productivity, and overall delivery efficiency
• Support team-building and employee engagement activities across engineering and Design teams
• Coordinate and track training, skill development, and certification initiatives

XEN Delivery Management

XEN LAB is a first-of-a-kind Experience Design and Innovation Lab (located in Pune and Bangalore) specially curated for Design Thinking workshops. XEN Methodology focuses on Human Centric approach to achieve exceptional Customer Experience (CX) and Digital Transformation (DX) initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide delivery and operational support for XEN teams, programs, and initiatives
• Manage physical workspace/space requirements in collaboration with XEN Craft Leads
• Provide delivery support for XEN workshops including: Proposals, project planning and tracking, resource planning, TAT management and delivery coordination
• Manage and coordinate XEN Extensions, XEN Outreach, and similar programs
• Support XEN resource allocation, utilization, billability, and bench management
• Track resource availability and proactively identify capacity or staffing requirements
• Track and manage internal XEN initiatives such as XEN Tools, Experience Trend Reports and other strategic/operational programs
• Provide regular visibility on initiative progress, risks, dependencies, and delivery status to relevant stakeholders

Experience & Skills required

• 10+ years of experience in Design Delivery Management, resource management, program/project management, or a similar operational leadership role
• Experience managing distributed design teams and working with stakeholders across multiple geographies
• Strong understanding of design resource planning, capacity management, utilization, billability, and bench management
• Experience supporting presales, proposal reviews, estimation, and project planning for Experience Design projects
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior craft leads, delivery leads and business stakeholders
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and competing resource demands
• Experience with performance management, team development, hiring, and onboarding (for design talent)
• Strong ownership of design delivery commitments, timelines, and customer outcomes
• Ability to identify risks early, drive resolution, and operate effectively in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment
• Batchelors/Masters degree in User Experience Design or management is highly desired
