Job summary

KPI Partners in Pune, India seeks a senior Azure Data Engineering Lead to drive end-to-end delivery of complex data projects. You will lead planning, design and execution, manage budgets and timelines, and mentor a growing team to ensure high-quality data pipelines, data lakes and data warehouses.

You will collaborate with clients and stakeholders, stay abreast of Azure trends, and apply best practices to ensure scalable, robust solutions that meet business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the planning and execution of Azure data engineering projects from inception to completion.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation effectively.
• Collaborate with clients to gather requirements and define project scope and deliverables.
• Ensure quality control and best practices in data engineering processes.
• Support the team in the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses.

• Stay current with industry trends and advancements in Azure technologies.

Skills and Tools Required:

• Extensive experience in data engineering and project management, ideally with a focus on Azure.
• Strong proficiency with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Database.
• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, SQL, and Scala.
• Knowledge of big data technologies and data modeling techniques.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project management tools experience (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira, Trello).
• Relevant certifications in Azure Data Engineering or Project Management would be a plus.
