We are seeking an experienced UKG Technical Consultant with 8+ years of experience in UKG Workforce Management technologies, integrations, interfaces, reporting, technical troubleshooting, and production support.
The consultant will be responsible for supporting the UKG technical landscape throughout transition, stabilization, steady-state operations, and continuous improvement. The role requires strong expertise in UKG integrations and technical components, coupled with the ability to diagnose complex production issues and collaborate with functional, infrastructure, security, HR, Payroll, and external vendor teams.
The successful candidate will help ensure the availability, reliability, performance, and maintainability of the UKG environment while driving automation and technical service improvements.
Participate in technical knowledge transfer from incumbent teams and application SMEs.
Understand the end-to-end UKG technical architecture and integration landscape.
Review interfaces, APIs, middleware components, batch jobs, reports, security configurations, monitoring, and operational dependencies.
Review and validate technical runbooks, SOPs, interface specifications, troubleshooting guides, known errors, and support documentation.
Perform reverse knowledge transfer and demonstrate technical support readiness.
Identify technical risks, monitoring gaps, single points of failure, and opportunities for automation.
Support transition and operational readiness before steady-state service commencement.
Provide L2/L3 technical support for UKG Workforce Management applications.
Troubleshoot application, integration, interface, batch, data, authentication, reporting, and performance issues.
Diagnose failed interfaces and jobs and coordinate recovery within agreed SLAs.
Perform detailed Root Cause Analysis for recurring and high-severity technical incidents.
Develop and implement permanent fixes and preventive measures.
Coordinate with UKG/vendor support and other technology teams for complex product issues.
Support major incident resolution and technical recovery activities.
Hands-on experience with relevant UKG technical capabilities, including:

Support inbound and outbound integrations between UKG and enterprise applications such as HR, Payroll, ERP, Finance, Identity Management, and other third-party systems.
Monitor interface execution and proactively address failures.
Analyze integration logs, payloads, error messages, and data discrepancies.
Troubleshoot API, web-service, file-transfer, and middleware issues.
Perform reconciliation and ensure completeness and accuracy of critical workforce and payroll data.
Maintain interface specifications, data mappings, and technical documentation.
Analyze technical requirements and prepare technical solution designs.
Develop and modify integrations, interfaces, extracts, reports, and related technical components.
Perform impact analysis for application and integration changes.
Follow coding, development, documentation, and security standards.
Perform unit testing and support SIT, UAT, and regression testing.
Support technical deployment and post-production validation.
Support UKG releases, patches, upgrades, and platform changes.
Perform technical impact assessments for upcoming UKG releases.
Coordinate deployment activities across development, test, and production environments.
Support production implementation and post-deployment verification.
Troubleshoot issues arising from releases and upgrades.
Maintain technical configuration and environment documentation.
Monitor UKG integrations, scheduled jobs, interfaces, and critical technical processes.
Develop proactive monitoring and alerting capabilities.
Identify recurring failures and implement preventive solutions.
Improve technical support runbooks and recovery procedures.
Ensure operational procedures meet security, audit, and compliance requirements.
Identify opportunities to automate repetitive support and monitoring activities.
Reduce manual interventions and recurring incidents through technical improvements.
Improve application and integration observability.
Identify opportunities for proactive issue detection and self-healing.
Contribute to ticket reduction, MTTR improvement, and service reliability initiatives.
Maintain reusable technical knowledge and troubleshooting documentation.
Participate in operational reviews, problem reviews, change reviews, and service governance meetings.
Provide technical updates for major incidents, risks, changes, and improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with UKG Functional, HR, Payroll, Infrastructure, Security, Integration, and other application teams.
Ensure compliance with agreed SLAs, KPIs, technical standards, and ITIL processes.
8+ years of relevant UKG/Kronos technical experience.
Strong experience with UKG Workforce Management technical components.
Hands-on experience supporting enterprise integrations.
Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, XML, JSON, SQL, and file-based integrations.
Experience troubleshooting complex production and integration issues.
Experience supporting payroll-critical integrations.
Strong understanding of enterprise application integration concepts.
Experience in L2/L3 production support and AMS environments.
Experience handling P1/P2 incidents and performing Root Cause Analysis.
Understanding of Incident, Problem, Change, Release, and Knowledge Management processes.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting capabilities.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
UKG technical certification(s).
UKG Workforce Central experience.
Experience with middleware/integration platforms.
Experience with ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
ITIL certification.
Experience with monitoring and automation tools.
Exposure to Agile and DevOps practices.
Experience supporting large-scale/global UKG environments.
Must be willing to work from the office 5 days a week.
Must be able to work from Bengaluru, Noida, or Hyderabad.
Must be flexible to support business-critical activities outside regular business hours when required.
Flexibility is required for payroll-critical processing, financial close cycles, production deployments, major incidents, system upgrades, releases, and other critical business events.
May be required to participate in planned weekend or extended-hours support based on business needs.
