Position Overview

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Academic Dean for Product design (industrial design) to join our team at Chitkara Design School, Chitkara University. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial design and possess exceptional leadership skills to oversee the academic department.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement academic programs for Product design (industrial design) that align with the school's mission and vision.
• Supervise and support faculty members in their teaching practices, research projects, and professional development.
• Conduct regular evaluations of program curriculum to ensure it meets industry standards and stays relevant.
• Collaborate with other departments within the design school and beyond school to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities for students.
• Oversee student recruitment efforts, working closely with the Career advancement service team.
• Plan department budget and resources effectively for discussion and approvals.
• Bring industry experts for various academes engagements like teaching, master class, conferences/symposiums, design festivals etc. Hence the candidate should have a strong industry network.
• Well versed with UGC, NAAC and other processes and documentations.

Qualifications
