Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Java professional to drive development across Java, Spring, Hibernate, and cloud projects for global clients. You will collaborate with the Digital-FS Java team and work with leads, PMs, and analysts to deliver high-quality software.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of experience, strong Java ecosystem skills, and exposure to Agile/SCRUM practices. EY offers growth, flexibility, and a global platform for impact.

Qualifications

• Experience in Java 8+, J2EE, Spring Boot, JPA, Spring Cloud.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, SQL Server/Oracle.
• Experience with messaging (Kafka, MQ).
• UI experience with Angular/AngularJS, HTML5, JS, CSS is a plus.
• Experience with microservices and REST APIs.
• Strong SQL or NoSQL (MongoDB).
• CI/CD and agile development practices.
• Object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• AGILE/SCRUM knowledge and unit testing with JUnit.
• Version control with Git/SVN; Tomcat/app server experience.
• Attention to clean code and high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities

Java Senior

As part of Digital-FS Java team, you are expected to work on various Java, Spring, Hibernate and Cloud projects for our customers across the globe and work collaboratively with other teams and seniors in ensuring smooth technical delivery.

The opportunity

We’re looking for Java Manager with expertise in Java technologies to join the Advisory Digital-FS Java team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Need to work as a team member in the development projects using Java technologies


• Working with the team leads/ other team members to ensure the timely delivery of the projects


• Contribute toward excellence in a highly collaborative, team-oriented environment


• Work closely with Project leads, Project Managers, Senior Business Analysts, and other development teams


• Completion of assigned tasks on time and regular status reporting to the lead

Skills And Attributes For Success

Mandatory:

• Experience in Java 8 and above / J2EE, Spring boot, JPA, Spring Cloud


• Experience in Spring, Hibernate, SQL Server/Oracle


• Experience with messaging technologies (e.g. Kafka, MQ)


• UI experience using AngularJS/Angular, HTML5, JQuery, JSON, JavaScript, Servlet, JSTL, AJAX and CSS will be an added advantage


• Experience/working knowledge on Microservices


• Strong in SQL or any RDBMS or Open data systems/NoSQL like - Mongo DB etc.,;


• REST APIs, Spring boot


• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment


• Knowledge on object-oriented programming


• Experience in projects managed in accordance with AGILE (SCRUM) methodology


• Knowledge on writing Unit test cases and carrying out Unit testing using Junit


• Version control software exposure Git, SVN, Clear case, PVCS


• Should have strong knowledge and experience on Tomcat and or any application server


• Should have understanding and experience of software development best practices/clean coding practices


• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables

Good to have:

• Working experience in cloud environments preferably Azure


• Knowledge on the CMMI framework


• Knowledge on design patterns

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems Management or a related field.


• 8 to 10 years of experience


• Knowledge on process methodologies – Agile/frameworks like CMMI

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Knowledge on any of the emerging technologies
