Job summary

Ernst & Young Advisory Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Senior Cloud Security & Networking Engineer in India (Chennai area) with 4–8 years of IT experience. You will design, deploy and manage secure cloud network architectures across Azure and AWS, with a focus on Zero Trust, hybrid connectivity, and enterprise‑grade compliance.

Responsibilities

• Implement cloud‑native security controls in Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and AWS Security Hub.
• Manage IAM, RBAC, Conditional Access, Key Management, and encryption for sensitive workloads.
• Define and enforce Zero Trust frameworks, security policies, and compliance guardrails.
• Implement security monitoring, logging, and incident response using SIEM/SOAR (Sentinel, Splunk, GuardDuty, CloudTrail).
• Design and configure Virtual Networks (VNets/VPCs), subnets, route tables, and hybrid connectivity (VPN, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect).
• Implement load balancing, private link, peering, and firewall solutions (Azure Firewall, AWS Network Firewall).
• Optimize network performance and high availability across multi‑region deployments.

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Security & Networking Engineer with 4-8 years of IT experience and deep expertise in designing, deploying, and managing secure cloud network architectures. The role requires strong hands‑on skills in Azure and AWS (with GCP as an added advantage), implementing Zero Trust security, cloud‑native networking, and enterprise‑grade compliance frameworks. You will work closely with cloud architects, security leaders, and application teams to ensure resilient, secure, and scalable environments across hybrid and multi‑cloud platforms.

Your key responsibilities

• Implement cloud‑native security controls in Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud, and AWS Security Hub.
• Manage IAM, RBAC, Conditional Access, Key Management, and encryption for sensitive workloads.
• Define and enforce Zero Trust frameworks, security policies, and compliance guardrails.
• Implement security monitoring, logging, and incident response using SIEM/SOAR (Sentinel, Splunk, GuardDuty, CloudTrail).

Automation & Governance

• Automate network and security deployments using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Integrate IaC with CI/CD pipelines for policy‑as‑code and compliance‑as‑code (OPA, Sentinel).
• Implement cloud governance frameworks with security baselines aligned to ISO, CIS, NIST.
• Partner with security architects, DevOps, and application teams for secure solution delivery.
• Provide L3 support for cloud security and networking incidents, lead RCA investigations.
• Mentor junior engineers in cloud security, networking, and automation best practices.

Skills and attributes for success

Required Skills

• 4 - 8 years of IT experience with at least 3–5 years in Azure and AWS cloud security/networking.
• Strong expertise in IAM, RBAC, encryption, network security groups, and cloud firewalls.
• Hands‑on experience with hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPNs, SD‑WAN).
• Knowledge of cloud‑native security services: Azure Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, AWS GuardDuty, AWS WAF, Shield.
• Proficiency in automation and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK, Grafana).

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: Azure Security Engineer Associate/AWS Security Specialty, CCSP, CISSP, or CKA/CKS.
• Optional: Exposure to GCP networking and security (VPC Service Controls, Cloud Armor, IAM).
• Experience with third‑party security platforms (Palo Alto Prisma Cloud, Check Point, Fortinet, Zscaler).

Education

• Degree: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
