Job summary

Zensar Technologies is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to architect end-to-end data solutions on Azure using Databricks, Delta Lake, and Spark. You will design robust pipelines and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.

You will mentor engineers, optimize costs, implement governance, and collaborate with data scientists and stakeholders. The role emphasizes modern ETL/ELT practices, CI/CD automation, and thorough documentation in a fast-paced, global environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data engineering with at least 3 years on Databricks and Azure.
• Proficient in Spark (PySpark/Scala) and Delta Lake for large-scale processing.
• Deep understanding of Azure services (Data Lake Storage, Synapse, Functions, DevOps).
• Experience designing ETL/ELT pipelines using modern orchestration tools.
• SQL and Python/Scala proficiency; data modeling and warehousing knowledge.
• Ability to optimize performance and cost in cloud environments.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
