Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Datadog Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in monitoring, observability, automation, and cloud-based enterprise applications. This role requires hands‑on experience with Datadog instrumentation, dashboard creation, incident management, and CI/CD integration to ensure reliable and scalable monitoring solutions across enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage Datadog instrumentation for infrastructure monitoring, application performance monitoring (APM), synthetic monitoring, database monitoring, real user monitoring (RUM).
• Create, configure, and maintain Datadog dashboards, monitors, alerts, and log pipelines.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure complete observability and monitoring coverage across systems and applications.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Terraform scripts for Datadog configurations and infrastructure automation.
• Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for Datadog integrations and deployment automation.
• Support incident management, change management, and problem management processes following ITIL best practices.
• Analyze monitoring data, troubleshoot complex issues, and provide effective solutions to improve system reliability and performance.
• Provide expertise in monitoring concepts, observability practices, and other monitoring tools.
• Ensure monitoring standards, governance, and operational excellence across enterprise environments.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in monitoring and observability engineering.
• Proven experience as a Datadog Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong expertise in Datadog instrumentation and monitoring, dashboard and monitor creation, log management and pipelines, Terraform automation, CI/CD implementation.
• Strong understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practices.
• Experience with incident management, change management, and problem management, automation tools and technologies.
• Experience working with cloud-based enterprise applications.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.
