Job summary

PwC Acceleration Center India is seeking a senior data engineering lead to drive Databricks-based modernization across oil and gas client environments and to design scalable data pipelines on cloud platforms.

You will translate business needs into architecture decisions, guide delivery teams, and ensure data quality and performance across data lake and warehouse environments while advising clients on data strategy and migration approaches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Minimum 13+ years of experience.
• Oral and written proficiency in English required.

Responsibilities

• Lead data engineering workstreams for Databricks-based modernization across oil and gas client environments.
• Design and implement data pipelines, integration patterns, and transformation logic across cloud data platforms.
• Translate business and technical needs into data architecture choices that support scalable analytics use cases.
• Guide teams through complex delivery activities, prioritizing work, and resolving issues that affect project progress.
• Apply Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Apache Airflow, and related tooling to build, monitor, and refine data solutions.
• Validate data quality, lineage, and performance across data lake and data warehouse environments.
• Advise clients on data strategy, platform design, and migration approaches for modern analytics ecosystems.
• Coach team members, review deliverables, and drive clear communication across technical and client stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities to improve data modeling, query performance, and transformation efficiency.
• Support delivery of secure and maintainable data infrastructure aligned with business and industry needs.

What You Must Have

• At least a Bachelor's degree
