Job summary

Confidential Client in Bengaluru is seeking a seasoned Databricks Platform specialist to accelerate Unity Catalog adoption and govern datasets across migrations. You will design metadata, access controls, and semantic layers while enabling Genie analytics and AI-assisted capabilities.

Collaborate with global Databricks teams and business stakeholders to identify high-value use cases, implement best practices, and ensure governance compliance on a hybrid work model in India.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience with Databricks Lakehouse Platform.
Proven experience implementing and managing Databricks Unity Catalog.
Expertise in Azure Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Delta Lake.
Strong understanding of data governance, metadata management, access controls, and data lineage concepts.
Experience building and optimizing analytical datasets and semantic layers.
Knowledge of modern data architecture and self-service analytics principles.

Responsibilities

Support and accelerate enterprise adoption of Databricks Unity Catalog across newly migrated datasets.
Design, configure, and optimize metadata, data governance, access controls, and catalog structures within Unity Catalog.
Lead the setup, configuration, and enablement of Databricks Genie analytics capabilities.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analytics teams to identify high-value use cases for Genie adoption.
Configure semantic models, business metadata, and governed datasets to improve natural language querying and self-service analytics.
Develop best practices, standards, and reusable frameworks for Unity Catalog and Genie implementation.
Monitor platform performance, usage patterns, and governance compliance to ensure sustainable adoption.
Partner with global Databricks teams to align implementation with enterprise data strategy and governance requirements.
