Job summary

Fluentgrid Limited in Visakhapatnam is seeking a Database Engineer with 5–8 years of experience to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes. You will work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, and ClickHouse, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data requirements and ensure data quality.

The role involves optimizing queries, supporting data migration, and enabling analytics, AI/ML, and BI use cases, with on-demand travel to client sites.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience in SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience with Oracle Database and PostgreSQL.
• ETL / Data Integration expertise with Pentaho.
• Knowledge of ClickHouse and IBM DB2 databases.

Job Title:Database Engineer

Experience: 5 - 8 Yrs

Location: Visakhapatnam - Travelling on demand

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions
• Develop complex SQL and PL/SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages, and performance-optimized database solutions
• Work with databases including Oracle, PostgreSQL, IBM DB2, and ClickHouse
• Develop and maintain ETL workflows using Pentaho and other data integration technologies
• Perform data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading from multiple source systems
• Integrate data from HES, MDMS, billing systems, ERP systems, IoT platforms, and other utility applications
• Work closely with application, business, and product teams to understand data requirements and develop appropriate data solutions
• Optimize database queries, ETL processes, and data pipelines for performance and scalability
• Support data migration, data quality, reconciliation, and troubleshooting activities
• Develop data solutions supporting analytics, reporting, AI/ML, and business intelligence use cases
• Collaborate with development teams on integration using Java, Python, APIs, Cloud, and IoT technologies
• Ensure data security, quality, availability, and compliance with organizational standards
• Troubleshoot production data issues and provide timely resolution
• Participate in technical discussions, solution design, documentation, and implementation activities
• Travel onsite on demand based on project requirements

Mandatory Skills

• Experience integrating with SAP IS-U
• Experience with Billing Systems and utility applications
• Experience with APIs, microservices, and system integration

Candidate Profile

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in Data Engineering / ETL / Database Engineering
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Willingness to travel onsite based on project requirements
