Job summary

Tekskills in Chennai is seeking a data engineer to design and validate ETL pipelines. The role demands strong SQL, Azure and Databricks knowledge, plus experience with semi-structured data such as CSV/JSON.

You will translate business requirements into SQL queries, write code in SQL/Java/Python/Excel macros, and create comprehensive test data, test plans and scripts while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ETL concepts and testing.
• Strong SQL writing skills including complex data types.
• Experience translating business requirements into SQL/programs.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
• Familiarity with semi-structured data (CSV, JSON, text).
• Ability to write code in SQL/Java/Python/Excel macros.
• Experience creating test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
• Basic knowledge of Selenium with TestNG or Cucumber.
