Job summary

Crisil is seeking an experienced Data Transformation Programme Manager to oversee enterprise-wide data initiatives, including data infrastructure builds and analytics product delivery. You will bridge data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure the data strategy drives value, compliance, and competitive advantage.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of Programme or Project Management in complex environments.
• At least 3 years of experience managing large-scale Data and Analytics programmes.
• Expertise in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall; experience scaling Agile across teams.
• Strong conceptual understanding of modern data architectures and platforms including Databricks or similar lakehouse platform; Unity Catalog; Analytics tooling for BI, AI and ML.
• Outstanding communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills; ability to influence C-suite executives and technical engineers alike.

Responsibilities

• Programme Delivery: Shape, scope, and lead the data programme and initiative roadmap; ensure on-time delivery within budget and high quality.
• Stakeholder Management: Liaise between business units, product teams, and the data team; manage expectations and translate milestones into business value.
• Governance & Risk Management: Identify, track, mitigate RAID; ensure alignment with data governance, privacy, and security policies.
• Financial & Resource Management: Administer the data programme budget, vendor spend, licensing, and resource allocation; forecast capacity.
• Change Management: Support data literacy and adoption of new tools, dashboards, and platforms across the business.
• Operational Excellence: Improve tooling, reporting standards, and governance.

In this role, you will be responsible for orchestrating a portfolio of complex data projects—including data infrastructure build, the delivery of complex data and analytics products, integrating data deliveries with our strategic programmes and client data product delivery.

You will act as the critical bridge between technical execution teams (data engineers, architects, data scientists), product management teams and executive business stakeholders, ensuring that our data strategy directly drives business value, compliance, and competitive advantage.

As a Data Transformation Program Manager, you will be the delivery backbone of the Data Transformation Programme, reporting to the Director of Data Transformation, and Director of Programme Management in the UK.

Day-to-day, you’ll be working closely with the Data Transformation Product Managers, Data and Solutions Architects, Business Analysts, Tech Leads and Developers, to track and administer project budgets, document risks, track progress, and keep delivery visible. You will support Program ceremonies, prepare reporting packs, and maintain key artefacts in JIRA, Confluence and Azure DevOps. Success in this role means the program runs seamlessly: reports are accurate, stakeholders feel informed, and blockers are addressed quickly.

What the job involves

Initially reporting to the

• Programme Delivery: Help shape, scope, and lead the execution of the overarching data programme and initiative roadmap. Ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary liaison between business units product teams and the technical data team. Manage stakeholder expectations, communicate progress, and translate complex technical milestones into business-oriented value outcomes.
• Governance & Risk Management: Proactively identify, track, and mitigate program-level risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID). Ensure all delivery aligns with corporate data governance, privacy (e.g., GDPR/CCPA), and security policies.
• Financial & Resource Management: Adminster and track the overall data programme budget, including vendor spend, software licensing, and resource allocation. Forecast capacity needs and optimize cross-functional team structures.
• Change Management: Support the Data Transformation Lead and Change function with organizational change management efforts to drive data literacy and the adoption of newly implemented data tools, dashboards, and platforms across the business.
• Operational Excellence: Support continuous improvement of tooling, reporting standards, and governance.

Requirements

• Experience: 5-8 years of Programme or Project Management in complex environments
• At least 3 years of experience specifically managing large scale Data and Analytics programmes
• Expertise in Agile, Scrum and Waterfall frameworks. Proven experience in scaling Agile across teams
• Strong conceptual understanding of modern data architectures and platforms including
