Job summary

NTT DATA, Inc. Bengaluru is seeking a data QA/test engineer to validate data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, dashboards and BI outputs.

You will design and execute test plans, perform end-to-end data validation for accuracy and integrity, and develop SQL queries for profiling and quality checks.

Collaborating with data engineers and analysts in an Agile/DevOps environment, you will support test automation and report quality metrics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, reports, and analytics solutions.
• Perform end-to-end data validation to ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity across source and target systems.
• Validate data transformations, business rules, mappings, aggregations, and reconciliation processes across data warehouses, data lakes, and reporting platforms.
• Create and execute SQL queries for data profiling, data quality checks, defect analysis, and root‑cause investigation.
• Identify, document, track, and retest defects while working closely with data engineers, ETL developers, business analysts, and QA teams.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, system, and user acceptance testing for data and analytics applications.
• Validate dashboards, reports, KPIs, and business intelligence outputs to ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Support test automation, data quality frameworks, and continuous testing practices within Agile and DevOps delivery models.
• Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, quality metrics, and test evidence for release readiness.
• Follow enterprise testing standards, governance processes, and best practices to ensure reliable, accurate, and trusted data solutions.
