Job summary

AGCO is seeking an experienced Data Scientist I to design and implement advanced data science and generative AI solutions that drive business impact. You will collaborate with engineering teams to deploy scalable pipelines and ensure statistical rigor across the analytics lifecycle.

The role focuses on identifying insights, selecting methodologies, and communicating results with stakeholders, using effective visualization and storytelling to enable analytics adoption.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data science and analytics with hands-on model development and deployment.
• Proven expertise in generative AI (LLMs, GANs, VAEs) and advanced machine learning techniques.
• Strong programming skills in Python and proficiency with ML/DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Familiarity with big data tools (Spark, Hive, Hadoop), cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP), and MLOps practices.
• Excellent communication and visualization skills, with the ability to translate technical insights into business value.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize actionable insights across core business areas. Translate business needs and hypotheses into data-driven tasks and computational workflows.
• Design and implement machine learning models (regression, classification, forecasting, deep learning) and ensure statistical integrity. Conduct proof-of-concept studies to validate feasibility and performance.
• Research, design, and implement generative AI models (GANs, VAEs, LLMs, diffusion models) for business applications. Fine-tune and optimize models, conduct experiments, and evaluate outputs for accuracy and reliability.
• Work with cloud and data engineers to deploy models using scalable, high-performance machine learning pipelines. Ensure production readiness, including monitoring, retraining, and lifecycle management.
• Present insights and recommendations clearly to stakeholders using strong visualization and storytelling techniques. Support adoption of analytics solutions through effective communication and demonstrations.
