Job summary

SteerLean Consulting is seeking a data analytics professional to perform advanced statistical analysis and develop machine learning models in close collaboration with analytics teams, including data engineers and senior data scientists.

You will interface with clients and drive end-to-end model implementations to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and reduce costs, with a focus on heavy manufacturing challenges such as predictive maintenance and process optimization.

Perform advanced statistical analysis and develop machine learning models by collaborating closely with analytics teams, including data engineers and senior data scientists

Perform advanced statistical analysis and develop machine learning models by collaborating closely with analytics teams, including data engineers and senior data scientists

Interface with clients and drive end-to-end model implementation of analytics solutions to enhance efficiency, streamline processes, and lower costs. Emphasis on addressing analytics challenges in heavy manufacturing, including optimizing processes and predictive maintenance

Skills:

• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience in analytics roles. Direct involvement in Manufacturing/ associated domains is a plus
• Experience in building and deploying data science models (e.g., Random Forest, Clustering, K-means etc.)
• Strong command of Python is essential; knowledge of SQL is highly preferred
• Experience working with large database systems such as MS SQL Server, or Oracle is valued
• Intellectual curiosity, along with excellent problem-solving and quantitative skills (including the ability to disaggregate issues, identify root causes and recommend solutions) are musts
• Strong people skills, team-orientation, and a professional attitude are musts

Education:

Bachelor's degree in quantitative field like Computer Science/ Engineering/ Statistics/ Data Science or related field required. Advanced degree/ diploma in Data Science is a plus.
