Job description

Introduction

In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.

Your role and responsibilities

1. Designing and delivering AI solutions, focusing on foundation models, large language models, open source technologies, or similar. Experience in natural language processing (NLP) and text analytics is highly desirable. Understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.

2. Publishing scientific research or contributing to open-source communities.

3. Managing the full AI project lifecycle, from research and prototyping to deployment in production environments.

Required technical and professional expertise

1. Proficiency in Python and AI frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras, or Hugging Face. Familiarity with libraries like SciKit Learn, Pandas, Matplotlib. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services is a plus.

2. Experience and working knowledge in COBOL and Java are preferred.

3. Experience in code generation, code matching, and code translation leveraging LLM capabilities (e.g., Amazon Code Whisperer, Github Copilot) is a significant advantage. Soft skills include excellent interpersonal and communication skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to continuous learning.

4. A growth mindset to understand clients' business processes and challenges.

5. Experience with Python and PySpark is an added advantage.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Proven experience in designing and delivering AI solutions, especially with foundation models and open-source technologies. Experience in NLP and text analytics is highly desirable. Understanding of machine learning and deep learning algorithms.
