Job summary

Schlumberger Limited's PuTC Data Science team in Pune seeks data scientists to tackle open-ended oil and gas problems using AI, ML, and DL on very large datasets. You will design undirected research, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and present progress through prototypes and demonstrations.

The role focuses on building scalable algorithms for classification, anomaly detection, and optimization, applying Generative AI and NLP.

Qualifications

• MS/MTech/PhD in CS, math, physics, engineering with 3–5 years in algorithm development using General AI or Generative AI.
• Deep understanding of Generative AI, DL for NLP/text analytics and computer vision.
• Experience with retrieval augmented generation (RAG) and agentic frameworks preferred.
• Strong background in linear algebra, statistics, and probability.
• Strong Python programming.
• Experience in patents or publications at top-tier conferences or journals.
