Job summary

The GE Aerospace Data Science Internship at the John F. Welch Technology Center in Bengaluru offers hands-on work on GenAI and ML solutions across Customer Experience and Commercial Sales.

You will join a multi-disciplinary team, under a senior mentor, to research, develop and deploy AI-driven insights from complex data sets. You'll gain experience in modern machine learning, probabilistic methods, and large language model applications, while documenting results and presenting technical data.

Qualifications

• B.Tech (CS/IT) 3rd/4th year or M.Tech 1st/2nd year.
• CGPA ≥ 7 / 70% and no active backlogs.
• NOC from college authorities before offer.

Job Description Summary

The Data Science Intern will work as part of a team to research, develop and implement Artificial Intelligence and Generative AI based solutions across various disciplines in GE Aerospace under the guidance of senior team members. In this role, as part of the Data Science & AI team, the candidate will contribute to the development and deployment of modern machine learning, generative AI, artificial intelligence, statistical and probabilistic methods, operations research, semantic analysis, and large language model applications for finding structure and generating insight from data sets within the Customer Experience and Commercial Sales functions of GE Aerospace.

Site Overview

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Essential Responsibilities

• Be a part of development team to work on Data Science technologies (GenAI , Python, cloud platforms , statistics, machine learning, deep learning)
• Work closely with an identified mentor on allocated projects. Analyze, design, test and integrate components, that meet business standards and program / product requirements.
• Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with organization policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present technical data & document and communicate the results of technical data generated.

This internship opening is to enable students to work on exploratory projects in Data Science and to contribute to digital solutions based on the identified problems.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Students of B. Tech [3rd Year or 4th Year] or M. Tech [1st Year or 2nd Year] from reputed institutes
• Candidate has to be from CS/IT stream with Data Science or AI Specialization (preferred)
• Eligibility Criteria: 7 CGPA/ 70 Percentage & above (with no active backlogs)
• NOC from college authorities to be submitted before offer issuance.
