Job summary

upGrad is hiring a Data Science Instructor to deliver in-person lectures at our Bhopal learning centres, covering Data Science, Machine Learning, and related topics. You will mentor students and professionals, guiding projects and case studies to ensure strong understanding and job readiness.

The role requires 2+ years of teaching in data science, core Python/SQL skills, and a solid ML/DL foundation. BE/B.Tech is required with postgraduate preferred; the position is on-site at our offline centre

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of teaching/training experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• Strong programming skills in Python and understanding of SQL, Excel.
• Solid grasp of ML/DL concepts such as Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Ensemble methods, Neural Networks, NLP, Recommendation Systems, etc.
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Comfortable with both classroom delivery and online teaching (camera-facing).
• Education: BE/ B.Tech (minimum); Postgraduate preferred.

• Guide learners through concepts, case studies, and projects to ensure strong understanding and application.
• Collaborate with Centre Managers and academic teams to monitor learner progress and outcomes.

• Continuously update knowledge and content to stay current with industry trends and tools.
