Job summary

EXL in Gurugram (India) seeks a software/ML engineer with 4–6 years of experience to contribute to Generative AI initiatives, LLMs, and applied NLP. You will collaborate on end-to-end AI solutions and data pipelines within a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have hands-on work with LLM APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, prompt engineering, and RAG architectures, plus experience with vector databases (Pinecone/FAISS/Weaviate/Chroma) and cloud deployment (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of overall software engineering or ML experience.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in Generative AI, LLMs, or applied NLP.
• Practical experience with LLM APIs and frameworks (OpenAI-compatible APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Prompt engineering and RAG architectures.
• Vector databases (Pinecone, FAISS, Weaviate, Chroma).
• Experience deploying ML/AI solutions in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of data structures, APIs, and system design.
