Job summary

Ujjivan Small Finance Bank Ltd. is seeking a Data Quality Analyst to monitor and improve enterprise data quality across the bank. You will execute data quality checks, profile data, and support resolution to ensure reliable data for analytics, regulatory reporting, and AI initiatives.

The role collaborates with data engineering and business teams to log and close data quality issues and to uphold data trust and governance across functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
• 1.5–3 years of experience in data analysis, data quality, or related roles.
• Exposure to enterprise data environments is desirable.
• Experience in banking or financial services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support preparation of data quality dashboards, scorecards, and MIS reports
• Provide data quality metrics to enable management reporting and decision-making
• Assist in audit and regulatory requests related to data quality and controls
• Work closely with data engineering and downstream consumers to understand data pipelines and usage
• Coordinate with senior stakeholders for logging, tracking, and closure of data quality issues
• Support stakeholder interactions for issue resolution and data clarifications
• Execute data quality checks and validations as per defined rules and thresholds
• Perform data profiling and reconciliation across source and downstream datasets
• Identify and track data quality issues related to accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, and validity
• Assist in root cause analysis by analyzing data patterns and anomalies

• Follow defined data quality standards, SOPs, governance processes, and SLAs
• Continuously build understanding of data pipelines, transformations, and quality frameworks

ROLE PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE

The Data Quality Analyst will support the monitoring, analysis, and improvement of enterprise data quality across the bank. The role focuses on executing data quality checks, identifying issues, and supporting resolution, ensuring reliable data for analytics, regulatory reporting, and AI initiatives.

This role plays a key part in building a culture of data trust and accountability across business and technology teams.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE

Business/ Financials

• Support preparation of data quality dashboards, scorecards, and MIS reports
• Provide data quality metrics to enable management reporting and decision-making
• Assist in audit and regulatory requests related to data quality and controls

Customer (Both Internal & External)

• Work closely with data engineering and downstream consumers to understand data pipelines and usage

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Educational

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.

• Awareness of data security, access control, and compliance requirements.
• Willingness to learn banking data domains and regulatory expectations.
• Basic exposure to analytics or AI data requirements is an advantage
