Job summary

Central Business Solutions, Inc is seeking an offshore Data Platform Operations Engineer to support a managed AWS data platform using Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, Aurora, S3, and CDC-based data flows. The role focuses on keeping the platform healthy day to day: monitoring jobs, triaging alerts, restarting failed workloads, documenting incidents, and following runbooks for backup and recovery checks.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in data platform support, data operations, or cloud operations.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, and SQL.
• Familiarity with job scheduling, logs, alerts, incident management, and runbooks.

• Monitor Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, Aurora, S3, and related pipeline health.
• Triage PagerDuty, Slack, email, and ticket-based operational alerts.
• Restart failed jobs and perform first-level incident investigation.
• Validate backup status, PITR windows, and restore-readiness checks.
• Maintain operational runbooks and known issue documentation.
• Escalate P1/P2 incidents to onshore leads and client technical contacts.
• Participate in onboarding inventory: jobs, schedules, data flows, release windows, failure modes, and open risks.

We are looking for an offshore Data Platform Operations Engineer to support a managed AWS data platform environment using Databricks, Snowflake, DBT, Amazon Aurora, Amazon S3, and CDC-based data flows.
This role is focused on keeping the platform healthy day to day: monitoring jobs, triaging alerts, restarting failed workloads, documenting incidents, escalating issues, and following runbooks for backup and recovery checks.
Responsibilities:

• Monitor Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, Aurora, S3, and related pipeline health.
• Triage PagerDuty, Slack, email, and ticket-based operational alerts.
