Job summary

A leading tech company seeks an experienced data engineer to develop data integration solutions and optimize data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience in financial services and a strong background in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure. Proficiency in ETL/ELT tools and data modeling is essential. This position involves working in an agile environment and mentoring junior engineers, offering a chance to drive strategic data initiatives. Excellent communication skills are also required.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent technology field.
7+ years of experience, preferably within financial services and/or a shared service model.
RMDS experience (PostgreSQL, SQL MI).
Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools (Informatica / Nifi / Snaplogic).
Experience in cloud services such as AWS or Azure.
Experience in Python, Shell Scripting and Java or similar programming languages.
Experience with PowerBI.
Experience with project management tools (agile tools), Office tools & presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and drive a strategy as per the needs of the team.
Design and develop low to moderate complex data integration solutions.
Build automation of CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins Core.
Optimize data pipelines, architectures, and datasets with ELT/ETL tools.

Knowledge of Logging, Telemetry and data security on AWS/Azure
Advanced working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
Experience building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures, and datasets with ELT/ETL tools
Strong Data modeling experience for OLTP/OLAP and No SQL scenarios
Experience performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets.
Very good organizational skills. Knowledge of agile methods is a plus.
Successful history of manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets
Experience supporting and working with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres DB
Experience with project management tools (agile tools), Office tools & presentation skills
Experience with Snowflake will be an added advantage
Good knowledge on ETL/ELT experience with both structured and unstructured data stores.
