Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, scale and enhance internal and external microservices that encapsulate our platform functionality.
• Take a hands-on lead in platform design, development, architecture, execution and adoption.
• Collaborate with architects and developers for code reviews and troubleshooting.
• Hire, mentor and develop a world-class team of engineers, instilling a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with the SRE team to improve system stability and observability.
• Engage with business leaders, product owners and other stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into executable solutions.
• Ensure applications and processes adapt to business changes or technology changes.
• Stay abreast of latest/emerging technologies.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy database models for application development to support business applications, ensuring scalability, security, performance, and reliability.
• Perform data analysis and data modelling for operational applications and analytical databases.
• Facilitate communication and documentation on major modelling and credit/fraud/marketing policy initiatives.
• Ensure an efficient infrastructure for model development, documentation, implementation, and validation.

Skills Must have

• Experience with Data Modelling for Data Warehouses
• Logical data modelling techniques – 3NF
• Exposure to Data Vault Modelling techniques
• Data Transformation and ETL: experience with Qlik Compose, AWS Glue is ideal; Datastage or SSIS or similar tools acceptable if unavailable
• Experience and knowledge of AWS or other Cloud platforms
• Knowledge of modern software design/development methodologies & frameworks (e.g., Agile/Scrum)
• Experience on multiple full release project lifecycles including Agile
• Understanding of testing tools and unit/integration test scripting (e.g., TDD)
• Hands-on knowledge of data cleansing techniques
• Demonstrates technical leadership skills

Experience

• Must have experience using data modelling tools (Erwin, Embarcadero, Qlik Compose or similar)
• Worked as a Data Modeler on one or more major projects
• Participates as a member of development teams and cross-functional teams
• Applies technical knowledge to maintenance solutions across one or more technology areas
• Supports the team to develop innovative solutions
• Participates in code reviews
• Flexible and willing to adapt to changing priorities
• Attention to detail with a pragmatic and enthusiastic attitude
• Ability to work effectively in a globally dispersed team and with clients and vendors
