Job purpose:

The Data Migration Lead will be part of the overall program team and be responsible for co-ordinating activity across all solution implementation projects to ensure an effective, efficient and joined up approach to data migration activities, and leveraging activities and resources at program level.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate all data migration activities covering all the aspects of Extraction, Transformation and Loading.
• Identifies, documents and validates data migration scope, risks, constraints, dependencies and assumptions.
• Work closely with the Enterprise Architect / Business Analyst in the definition of the target data model.
• Develops, documents and validates data migration strategy.
• Study / understand the scope of the Data Migration from different source systems.
• Perform source system data analysis in order to manage source to target data mappings.
• Monitor development of best practice, processes, and standards for effectively carrying out data migration activities.
• Responsible for defining the data migration plan for each solution, working with legacy system and new system information system analysts to design and create the tools to extract, cleanse, transform, enrich, load and validate all required data for the successful implementation and operation of the new solutions.
• Define the Data Cleansing and De-duplication methodologies.
• Work with key users and stakeholders to identify and resolve data issues post Go-Live.
• Conduct post implementation review of data migration exercise.
