ValueMomentum is seeking a Microsoft Fabric Lead Engineer to design, build, and support enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric. You will drive architecture decisions, mentor teams, and deliver scalable data platforms with OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, and Power BI.

• Hands-on Microsoft Fabric in enterprise data implementations.

• Strong SQL, PySpark, Python, and Spark optimization skills.
• Experience with Power BI and Real-Time Intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Fabric solutions across enterprise programs.
• Define technical architecture, standards, and best practices for Fabric adoption.
• Provide technical leadership to data engineers and developers.
• Review designs, code, and deployment strategies for quality and scalability.
• Design and implement enterprise data platforms using Fabric components and Power BI.
• Architect scalable cloud-native data solutions supporting analytics, AI, and BI workloads.
• Establish reusable design patterns and reference architectures.
• Develop ETL/ELT pipelines using Fabric Data Factory and Spark Notebooks.
• Integrate structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data from cloud/on-prem sources.
• Implement data transformation, cleansing, validation, and orchestration.
• Design dimensional models, Lakehouse architectures, and enterprise data warehouses.
• Develop semantic models and datasets for Power BI reporting.
• Optimize Spark workloads and OneLake storage usage.
• Implement data security and governance using Fabric security features.
• Define data governance: quality, lineage, cataloging, auditing, compliance.
• Setup CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub and automate Fabric deployments.
• Enable AI/ML and Copilot capabilities within Fabric.
• Lead production deployments, monitor health, troubleshoot incidents, ensure SLA.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, and stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and drive continuous improvement.

About the job:

We are looking for an experienced Microsoft Fabric Lead Engineer to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise-scale data and analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric.

The role involves providing technical leadership, driving architecture decisions, mentoring engineering teams, and delivering scalable, secure, and high-performing data platforms.

• Implement data security and governance using Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and Fabric workspace security.
• Define governance practices for data quality, lineage, cataloging, auditing, and compliance.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub and automate Fabric artifact deployments.
• Enable AI, Machine Learning, and Copilot capabilities within Microsoft Fabric.
• Lead production deployments, monitor platform health, troubleshoot incidents, and ensure SLA compliance.
• Collaborate with enterprise architects, product owners, business stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.
• Mentor engineers, conduct code and design reviews, and drive continuous improvement.

Requirements:

• 8–14 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Cloud Data Platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric in enterprise data implementations.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric, OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, and Data Factory.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, PySpark, Python, and Spark optimization.
• Experience with Power BI and Real-Time Intelligence.
• Experience with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure DevOps, GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong understanding of dimensional data modelling, ETL/ELT architecture, and data governance.
• Experience leading technical teams and delivering large-scale enterprise data modernization programs.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Good To Have:

• Microsoft Certified: Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate (DP-600).
• Microsoft Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP-203).
• Experience with Databricks, Synapse Analytics, Azure AI Services, or Microsoft Purview.
