Job summary

StarZen is seeking an experienced Architect for enterprise data and integration platforms in Gurugram to own end-to-end integration across HL7 v2.x, FHIR, REST, GraphQL and Kafka-based backbones.

You will lead Mirth Connect channel design, design SQL Server and PostgreSQL schemas, and architect Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Synapse-based platforms, while building AI-grade pipelines with vector stores and RAG ingestion.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data and integration architecture.
• HL7 v2.x and Mirth Connect experience.
• Healthcare or large-scale public-sector integration background preferred.
• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end integration architecture: HL7 v2.x, CCD/CDA, FHIR R4, REST, GraphQL, Kafka / Event Hubs.
• Lead Mirth Connect (NextGen) channel design, transformers, filters and monitoring.
• Design and maintain MS SQL Server (with AlwaysOn) and PostgreSQL schemas, indexes, stored procedures and partitioning strategies.
• Architect cloud data platforms on Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse / Microsoft Fabric.
• Design AI-grade pipelines: chunking, embeddings, vector stores (pgvector, Pinecone, Milvus, Weaviate) and RAG ingestion.
• Define data quality, deduplication, master data and identity-resolution rules.
• Orchestrate onboarding of new interfaces and data sources.
• Ensure security, audit, PII/PHI and data-protection compliance across all flows.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Strong data modeling and SQL performance tuning (MS SQL mandatory; PostgreSQL preferred).
• Deep HL7 v2.x and CCD/CDA experience; working FHIR R4 expertise.
• Hands-on Mirth Connect (NextGen) channel and transformer development.
• Experience with cloud data platforms: Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse / Fabric.
• Hands-on with Kafka / Event Hubs and event-driven design.
• Working knowledge of vector databases and RAG ingestion patterns.

POTENTIAL BACKGROUND

• Bachelor's in CS / Engineering or related (Master's preferred).
• 8+ years in data and integration architecture.
• Mandatory hands-on HL7 v2.x and Mirth Connect experience.
• Healthcare or large-scale public-sector integration background preferred.
• Exposure to AI/ML data pipelines is a strong plus.
