Qualifications

• 15+ years of experience in financial services technology, data governance and delivery management.
• 8+ years of formal data-governance experience covering data architecture, ingestion, processing, consumption, quality and stewardship.
• 3+ years of experience leading/managing a large data team.
• Proven expertise in leading Gen AI/automation projects with measurable impact; basic understanding of AI, ML, NLP concepts.
• Extremely proficient in SQL queries, data analysis, profiling, data-quality monitoring rules, and issue resolution.

ROLE

• Accountable for management of complex, critical, and large professional disciplinary areas.
• Lead and direct a team of professionals, including full management responsibility for people, budget, planning, performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions, terminations, and budget approval.
• Apply in-depth understanding of business impact of technical contributions and maintain excellent commercial awareness.
• Deliver a full range of services to one or more businesses/geographic regions.
• Negotiate internally at senior levels and handle occasional external communication.
• Exercise control over resources, policy formulation, and planning for a sub‑function.
• Participate in short‑to‑medium‑term planning of actions and resources for own area.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to set priorities, convert goals into actionable delivery plans, and define outcomes.
• Lead usage of Gen AI/automation in processes such as lineage, data quality, and exception management to reduce manual effort.
• Partner with Technology to evaluate enterprise tools and build AI solutions.
• Ensure adherence to strict project‑management discipline through periodic reviews.
• Monitor key data‑management and governance metrics to ensure accuracy and completeness of critical data within assigned domains.
• Document data/system lineage and data tracing for business processes; coordinate with Technology to create corresponding lineage toolsets.
• Manage technical metadata requirements related to business CDEs and coordinate lineage tasks and test activities among Business, Operations, and Technology.
• Manage all business glossaries.
• Oversee timely resource hiring and onboarding.

REQUIREMENTS

• MBA or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Applications, Engineering, or a related field from a premier institute; BTech/B.E. in IT/Information Systems/Computer Applications preferred.
• Post‑graduate education in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Econometrics, Management Science, or related fields.
• 15+ years of experience in financial services technology, data governance, and delivery management, with exposure to Credit Cards, Retail, or Wealth domains.
• 8+ years of formal data‑governance experience within a global company and strong data‑management background covering data architecture, ingestion, processing, consumption, quality, and stewardship.
• 8+ years of experience in data management activities such as code mining, data mining, visual data lineage, and system‑to‑system lineage as an Information Steward.
• 3+ years of experience leading/managing a large data team.
• Proven expertise in leading Gen AI/automation projects with measurable impact; basic understanding of AI, machine learning, and NLP concepts.
• Extremely proficient in SQL queries, data analysis, profiling, data‑quality monitoring rules, and issue resolution.
• Strong analytical and business skills; excellent communication, negotiation, persuasion, and influencing abilities at all organization levels.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, multitask, solve problems, make decisions, and operate in a fast‑paced environment.
