Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development, with at least 4 years Python in production.
• Strong problem solving and software design with OOP and patterns.
• Experience building REST APIs and data pipelines in Python.
• Proficiency with Azure cloud services and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and time-series analytics.
• Experience with unit tests (PyTest) and CI/CD workflows.

Responsibilities

This Position reports to:

R&D Team Lead

Your role and responsibilities:

Our IoT solutions are market-leading for monitoring motors, rotating machines, drives, buildings, infrastructure, and utilities. We are expanding our development capacity to accelerate feature releases. You will join a global agile development team of 30+ developers, product owners, and architects to deliver high-quality, scalable digital solutions.

This role is contributing to the Motion Business Service Division in Bangalore India.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Design and implement product features in collaboration with developers, architects, product owners, and domain experts.
• Develop production-grade Python code for industrial IoT and timeseries data analytics applications.
• Build scalable data-processing algorithms using machine-learning-based and deterministic approaches.
• Develop backend services, web applications, and REST APIs using FastAPI or Flask. Design and maintain efficient data pipelines and ETL processes for large-scale timeseries datasets.
• Write unit, integration, and component test cases following software engineering best practices. Deploy and operationalize solutions on Microsoft Azure, including Azure Functions and Azure Databricks.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, incorporate stakeholder feedback, and drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications for the role :

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics and Communication, Electrical Engineering, Data Engineering, or equivalent.
• 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 4 years of strong production-grade Python development.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and software design skills with expertise in OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Solid understanding of software architecture, design patterns, SOLID principles, and clean-code practices.
• Experience developing scalable backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines using Python frameworks (FastAPI/Flask).
• Proficiency with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, and timeseries data processing for industrial or operational analytics.
• Experience with unit/integration testing (PyTest or similar), Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure application development, including Azure Functions, Azure Databricks, SQL, and NoSQL concepts.
