Cognizant seeks an experienced Associate Director Data Engineer to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions. You will drive AI strategy, architecture, and deployment across AWS, GCP or Azure, with strong focus on Generative AI, LLMs (Llama), LangChain and modern AI frameworks.

You will mentor high-performing AI/ML teams, collaborate with stakeholders, and ensure scalable, secure, and governance-compliant model development and deployment pipelines.

Job Summary :- We are looking for an experienced Associate Director Data Engineer- Tensor flow,Pytorch, AI/ML & Cloud to lead the design, development, and delivery of enterprise-scale Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in AWS, GCP, or Azure Cloud, Generative AI, LLMs (Llama), LangChain, Machine Learning, Data Science, and modern AI frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow. This role combines technical leadership, solution architecture, stakeholder management, and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead AI/ML strategy, solution architecture, and delivery for enterprise clients.
• Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and Generative AI applications using Llama, LangChain, and other LLM frameworks.
• Architect cloud-native AI solutions on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Build end-to-end Machine Learning pipelines, model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps solutions.
• Drive Data Science initiatives, including predictive analytics, NLP, recommendation systems, and computer vision.
• Mentor and lead high-performing AI/ML engineering and data science teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into AI-driven solutions.
• Ensure best practices in model development, governance, security, scalability, and performance optimization.
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and define technical roadmaps.
• Support pre-sales activities, solution proposals, client presentations, and technical discussions.

Required Skills

• Strong experience with AWS / GCP / Azure Cloud platforms.
• Hands-on expertise in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science.
• Experience working with Large Language Models (Llama) and LangChain.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Experience with PyTorch and/or TensorFlow.
• Knowledge of NLP, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, vector databases, and AI application development.
• Experience with ML model deployment, APIs, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and MLOps.
• Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
