Job summary

Merkle Italia is seeking a Senior Software Data Engineer in Bengaluru to design and build scalable data platforms using Python, SQL, and Snowflake, and to develop modern web interfaces with React. The role involves ETL/ELT pipelines, data warehouses/lakes, and AI-enabled solutions including Generative AI/LMMs, with cross-functional collaboration in an Agile environment.

You will work on Snowflake architectures (Tasks, Streams, Dynamic Tables) and integrate AI-powered capabilities while following

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Software Development, Data Engineering, or Data Platform Development.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Snowflake development.
• Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, Data Warehouses and Data Lakes.
• Experience building modern web applications using React.js and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG architectures and AI-powered development.
• Experience with Snowflake Tasks, Streams, Stored Procedures, Snowpark and Dynamic Tables.
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling, Data Governance and Data Quality.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, Agile/Scrum and automated testing frameworks.
• Exposure to AWS services like S3, Lambda, Glue, ECS or Bedrock.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities
