Job summary

FedEx in Chennai, India, seeks a BI Analyst to support and maintain analytics systems enabling data-driven decision-making. You will design data warehouses, models, and ETL processes, and enable self-serve analytics for business users while ensuring data security and governance.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in CS/MIS/Math/Stats (Master's/PhD preferred) and has 2–5 years of BI experience, with strong English and communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or similar discipline. Master's degree or PhD preferred.
  • Experience levels corresponding to Standard I–Senior II: 2–5 years depending on level.
  • Strong English fluency and data modeling/ETL capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and maintenance of BI and analytics systems to support data-driven decision-making.
  • Implement BI and analytics systems, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
  • Design and optimize data warehouse architecture to support efficient storage and retrieval of large datasets.
  • Enable self-service data exploration capabilities for users to analyze and visualize data independently.
  • Develop reporting and analysis applications to generate insights from data for business stakeholders.
  • Design and implement data models to organize and structure data for analytical purposes.
  • Implement data security and federation strategies to ensure confidentiality and integrity of sensitive information.
  • Optimize BI production processes and adopt best practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Assist in training and support to users on BI tools and applications.
  • Collaborate with vendors and oversee project management activities to ensure timely and successful implementation of BI solutions.
