We are currently seeking a Data Engineer Senior Consultant to join our team in Hyderabad, Telangana (IN-TG), India (IN).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading data from diverse sources.
• Create and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and transformation in large-scale environments.
• Build interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to deliver actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Implement data modeling best practices for Power BI, ensuring accurate and performant analytics.
• Monitor and troubleshoot ETL workflows, resolving issues promptly to maintain data integrity.
• Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and quality standards across all processes.
• Perform performance tuning for ETL jobs and SQL queries to meet SLA requirements.
• Document ETL processes, data flows, and reporting logic for transparency and maintainability.
• Support production deployments and provide on-call assistance during the 2 PM–11 PM IST shift.

Minimum Qualifications / Skills

• Strong expertise in SQL, including advanced joins, indexing, query optimization, and stored procedures.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling techniques.
• Proficiency in ETL tools such as Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or equivalent platforms.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas).
• Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and optimize ETL workflows for performance and reliability.
• Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines for data solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a 2 PM–11 PM IST shift.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Dataflows Gen2) is a strong plus.
